Mortlach The Katana's Edge

A rare and collectible distillery-first single malt, that's Scotland inspired by craft and cultures around the world. Finished in a combination of ex-Kanosuke Japanese Whisky and ex-pinot noir casks, this scotch boasts notes of fruit and dry spice with a long, dry and fruity finish. 

The design is by Kouzou Sakai, whose art style boasts his love for nature, along with his use of negative space and asymmetrical compositions, creating captivating illustrations.

Tasting notes

On the nose are notes of melon, pear, icing sugar, fruit, and spice. On the palate are notes of fruit and dry spice with a long finish that's dry and fruity. 

Serving suggestion

Best enjoyed neat, on the rocks, or with a dash of water to accentuate notes of fruit.
